1963/64 European Cup Winners Cup 1st Round Ticket vs Man Utd *Rescheduled

Here is the ticket used for the rescheduled 1963/64 ECWC 1st Round match between Tottenham and Manchester United played at White Hart Lane on 3rd December. On first glance the ticket looks damaged / torn in half – but that was the only way to gain entry to the game. The match was originally due to be played on Nov 27th, but with 54,000 fans already in the ground that night, fog descended before the match kicked off and visibility was reduced to zero. A decision was made to postpone the match and the 54,000+ fans (including 3,000 from Manchester) had to leave the stadium. As you will see from photo of subsequent leaflet issued at next Spurs match, insufficient time between and rescheduled match to reissue new tickets, so fans were advised to bring the “to be retained” portion of ticket from postponed game that had already had the stub removed and that would be used for entry, with no counterfoil to remove at rescheduled match, the turnstile staff merely tore original ticket in half.

Aside from the obvious missing half (means it was used for the rescheduled match as detailed above), then remaining part of ticket is in good condition – does have some creasing (more noticeable from rear)
